🕒 Hours: Full-time preferred (Part-time considered)

📅 Contract: Fixed-term, 1 year (Starting September/October 2025)

 

Are you passionate about eye care and customer service? We’re looking for a friendly, organised, and proactive Optical Assistant to join our team in Glasgow. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a friendly, professional and community-focused practice where your attention to detail and people skills will make a real difference.

 

✨ What You’ll Be Doing:

Welcoming patients and managing reception duties with warmth and professionalism

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records

Ensuring displays of frames and optical stock are clean, tidy, and visually appealing

Assisting with the upkeep and cleanliness of optical testing equipment

Managing stock levels, placing orders, and liaising with suppliers

Supporting the team with general administrative tasks to keep the practice running smoothly

 

🧠 What We’re Looking For:

Previous experience in an optical or healthcare setting is a plus, but not essential

Excellent communication and organisational skills

A team player with a proactive attitude and a keen eye for detail

Comfortable using computer systems and handling administrative tasks

A genuine interest in providing outstanding patient care

 

📌 The Details:

Fixed-term contract for 12 months

Start date: September/October 2025

Full-time hours preferred, but we’re open to part-time arrangements for the right candidate

Competitive salary based on experience

Must be eligible to work in the United Kingdom.
